Volvo buses offer a great alternative to Shatabdi train which used to be the favourite among commuters a few years ago. The comfortable journey in a Volvo from Chandigarh to Delhi has made it high demanding bus service. Since Volvo’s point of origin is ISBT Sector 17, one doesn’t have to travel to the outskirts of the city to catch the Shatabdi.There are also Mercedes Benz buses operating on the same route, although the booking process is the same. You may not even notice that you travelled on a Mercedes bus and not Volvo.

Haryana Roadways Volvo Buses operate on Chandigarh to Delhi ISBT and Chandigarh to Gurgaon via IGI Airport.
Chandigarh to Delhi ISBT buses offers a 20 minute stop at Karnal Lake. The total journey time to Delhi ISBT is about 4-5 hours depending on the traffic conditions.
Chandigarh to Jaipur Volvo Buses are operated by RSRTC.

Haryana Roadways Chandigarh to Delhi ISBT is Rs.723 and to IGI Airport/Gurgaon is Rs. 823. (rates are subject to change any time without notice.) Be prepared to pay extra to the porter who will put your luggage in the bus. This doesn’t include handbags etc. Fares are subject to change anytime.
IGI Airport Delhi
Volvo buses no longer enter IGI airport. The drop off point is at Public Transport Centre near Centaur Hotel. From there, you can board a free shuttle bus service operated by GMR, which goes to T3 as well as T1. To find out whether shuttle service operates late at night, call +91-124-3376000/4797300. Alternatively, you can take a taxi. Public Transport Centre is about 2.5 km from T3 departure and about 7 km from Terminal 1.

Online booking of Volvo buses can be done on Haryana/Punjab Roadways website that offers various payment options. Please arrive at least 15 minutes earlier with the printout of the ticket.
